Matika Wilbur is a critically acclaimed photographer, writer and social documentarian. She is a member of the Swinomish and Tulalip tribes of coastal Washington State. Currently, she is developing an unprecedented body of imagery and cultural representations of Native Peoples from 562 plus tribes in the United States.

Matika’s presentations, through speaking engagements and exhibitions, provide remarkable insights into contemporary Native American life, driving the conversation forward to encourage U.S. citizens to evolve beyond the appropriation and neglect of indigenous images and traditions through a new model of awareness, with honest photographic representation and direct narratives of America's First Peoples.
